The only downside I can see to this camera is the absence of a viewfinder and so my other option is the Canon Powershot A1200 12.1 MP with a viewfinder. They seem to be very similar. I have used canon camera’s in the past and so my camera cards are all interchangeable.

I already have a digital camcorder and so I just want a great point and shoot and these two seem to be the ones that will work well. The camera I have now has a horrific and frustrating pause from the time you press the button to when it actually takes the picture. I am hoping this one will be better than the one I currently own. Once I have decided I will make sure it is in a waterproof camera bag and safely stowed away so I won’t have to purchase another any time soon!
